Photographer Ari Versluis witnessed the birth of the hard-core techno music underground and Gabber scene starting in 1990s Rotterdam, capturing people in an euphoric state of trance. Inspired by interest in the striking dress codes of various social groups, Ari, together with Ellie Uyttenbroek, has systematically documented numerous identities for their series Exactitudes, a contraction of ‘exact’ and ‘attitude’.
