Since the early 1970s artist Billy Sullivan has captured New York’s underground, art and fashion scenes, using the photos as templates to create lovely paintings. The at once dreamy and sultry images of Billy’s friends, lovers and muses show both an omnipresent lust for life and the transience of youth.
