Louise Lecavalier

Petite but powerful, with androgynous looks and platinum locks flying as she graciously moves, Louise Lecavalier is an iconic figure of contemporary dance. As part of the group Le Groupe Nouvelle Aire, she met choreographer Edouard Lock and became the main inspiration and lead character for the acclaimed Montreal dance company La La La Human Steps. On David Bowie’s Sound and Vision tour in 1990, she appeared as an energetic figure on stage, and in all her rhythmic strength, Louise is suddenly capable of sensually lifting the singer over her head.
