Born in Kyoto, based in Stockholm, dancer and choreographer Shintaro Oue starts out on a life between two cultures when he moves to Europe in 1992 to train at the Hamburg Ballet School, and joins respectively the Hamburg Ballet Company, Nederlands Danstheater and the Swedish Cullberg Ballet. Shintaro is together with Masahiro Yanagimoto and Shintaro Hirahara co-founder of C/Ompany, where he carries out a unique language of ‘body knowledge’.
